Mentorship is designed to help share knowledge and best practices with fellow cat lovers who are interested in breeding and/or showing.
About Pamela, Mentor
I have been showing and breeding pedigreed cats for 32 years.
When I first started, I noticed that entering the cat show circle was very much like the hazing process of entering a sorority or fraternity. Through my own experiences, I learned that fellow breeders may not always openly welcome new faces and new breeders can spend thousands of dollars on cats who aren’t of proper showing or breeding quality. I came across very few gracious breeders who were willing to work with and take the time to teach new breeders.
I determined early on in my show career that I would go out of my way to be kind where others were cruel and to honor those who mentored me by mentoring others.
About the mentorship process
My ultimate goals are helping interested new breeders learn their craft and/or find success navigating CFA and TICA.
Here are some of the ways I assist mentees:
Help finding a quality cat to show or breed
Teach the ins and outs of cat showing through CFA and TICA
Accompany mentees to their first show
Introduce mentees to other like-minded breeders who are friendly and welcoming
Provide ongoing support during the breeding process

Mentorship is available for breeding only, showing only, or breeding and showing.
